The HEAD - Geneva Film Department is proud to announce the world premiere screening of two films by Bachelor students at the 77th Locarno Festival, to be held from August 7 to 17, 2024. Five student films have also been selected in the “FILM FOUNDRY: Young Swiss Cinema” section. Numerous films by alumni and staff of the school are also in competition.

A day in the life of Sky Rogers, manager to the stars. A flamboyant dandy in red, Sky teaches us a few lessons about his profession. But soon, his credentials are put to the test by a less-than-competent boy band. What’s a star manager without stars? Apocalypse, giant lobsters and vibrant love: these are the key words in Sky Rogers’ tragic epic.

Between scooter riding and personal development, a young boy in search of an identity explores his relationship with his body and emotions. Made from content gathered online, the film follows the character’s attempts to find answers to his existential confusion.

Eldorado traces a quest for a lost village, a treasure lost deep in the Jura mountains. Working with nature, the film questions our relationship with the present, with time and with abandoned spaces.
