La HEAD filme Genève at GIFF

Anabase de Benjamin Goubet
From the Cornavin train station to the Jonction, via the banks of the Rhône or Bel-Air, this selection of four films made by students of the HEAD Film Department offers an innovative look at the city of Geneva through certain emblematic or little-known places.
Each film offers a hybrid between reality and fiction, making Geneva a territory to be (re)discovered through encounters and strolls through its streets, parks, streetcars and public or private spaces.
Avec Calvin
Calvin crosses the city with a conquering step. He sells honey from the Middle East, natural Viagra from Malaysia and passes his sales knowledge to younger people. His skin-deep voluntarism is at the service of a future perspective that his family would not have wished for him.
À l'ancienne
Somewhere in Geneva, a friendship between a bunch of girls has been forged between the Rhône and the Arve, right where the two rivers meet and mix homogeneously. That’s what we call Junction. A departure can turn things upside down. There are those who leave and those who stay. Those who leave, leave behind memories. Those who see people leaving, hold the memory and keep the memories in spite of themselves.
Queens
The nocturnal journey of a group of drag queens from Geneva.
Les fantômes du Paradis
The space of Montbrillant, also known as the Pastoral des Milieux Ouverts is a haven of peace for the few users of this place. By trying to discover the different characters, we understand another surface of the city of Geneva.
The film Anabase by Benjamin Goubet, presented as a world premiere in one of the programs of the Int. Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, also proposes a new way of filming Geneva.
Anabase
Geneva, at night. The guards patrol the city and the soldiers train. Sony is a security guard, Ana is a bank receptionist. Around them, the city sinks into melancholy as two stars meet.
