Colloque Chris Marker : Dans l’antre du chat

During Spirales, fragments of a collective memory, an event initiated by the Ciné-club universitaire de Genève around Chris Marker, the Department of Cinema of the HEAD - Geneva organizes from the 1st to the 2nd of December 2011, with the complicity of the Cinémas du Grütli, the Centre de la Photographie Genève (CPG) and the Centre d’Art Contemporain (CAC), a colloquium welcoming specialists, collaborators and long-time enthusiasts, in order to unravel the principal aspects of the work of the man with the cat.

The first day, dedicated to “Marker, cinéaste”, was held at the Cinémas du Grütli, from 9 am to 5 pm. In the morning, conferences and round tables took place. In the afternoon, presentations and discussions around film extracts.

The second day, around “Marker, photographer and multimedia artist”, took place at the Bâtiment d’Art Contemporain, from 9 am to 5 pm. In the morning, conferences and round table discussions took place. In the afternoon, visits of the CPG, the CAC and the “Ouvroir” on Second Life.
