HEAD CINEMA FESTIVAL

Festival screenings

The Cinema Department organized the first edition of the HEAD CINEMA FESTIVAL, which took place on our Campus and at the Parc Gustave & Leonard Hentsch in the Charmilles district, from Wednesday June 19 to Saturday June 22. Four evenings of outdoor film screenings and two professional days took place.


BY APPOINTMENT :

  • Four evenings of outdoor screenings (June 19-22) featuring previews of workshop films and graduation films from HEAD’s Film Department, which have won over 15 festival awards in the last 12 months.

  • A public masterclass (Wednesday, June 19, 6:00 pm) with American director and cinematographer Kirsten Johnson , on the HEAD Campus (salle Georges Addor). Free admission, limited seating.

  • Two Journées professionnelles de la relève (Wednesday June 19 and Thursday June 20 - detailed program below).

We’ll also be delighted to welcome directors and programmers from major Swiss and international festivals to our Professional Days, including John Canciani from Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, Emilie Bujes from Visions du Réel, Anaïs Emery from GIFF and Juliette Canon from Critics’ Week in Cannes.

You’re all invited! Cinephiles, independent filmmakers, producers, alumni of HEAD and elsewhere, actors and actresses from the next generation of Swiss cinema to discover the talents that are making the cinema of today and tomorrow.
