Art Humanité 2023 prize : Tabarak Allah Abbas

The Art Humanité 2023 prize was unanimously awarded to Tabarak Allah Abbas, for his diploma film Mawtini (CH, 2023, 13’).

The Art Humanity Prize was created in 2015 by the Geneva Red Cross, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and HEAD - Geneva. The prize rewards a project that sensitively and successfully combines artistic impulse and humanitarian commitment.

In September, the Prix Art Humanité jury met to select the 5 finalists. A total of 39 entries were received. The jury was impressed by the extent of the candidates’ work. Tabarak Allah Abbas, an alumna of the Cinema Department, won this year’s prize with her film Mawtini.

The 5,000 franc prize is open to students who have completed at least four semesters at HEAD - Geneva, as well as to holders of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree less than five years old. Entries are judged on originality, quality of execution and coherence with the theme of the Prize.
