Beutset (Dawn) (CH/SN, 2023, 29’)

Synopsis : After a parasite contaminated all Dakar’s drinking water supplies, a private pharmaceutical company began developing pills to neutralize it. A poor young man who can no longer afford to buy his pills realizes, as the days go by without his treatment, that he has never been so lucid.

Synopsis : On the way to, along the Ecuadorian Andes, we are led to observe random moments in everyday life. Without appropriating what we observe, we continue our journey.


I WISH YOU TO LOVE ME, I WISH TO LOVE YOU (CH, 2023, 16’)

Synopsis : Elena is a young foreign vampire who works in a solarium by day. Every night, she wanders the city in search of companionship, the mediocrity of the men she meets only exacerbating her mortal frustration. A fleeting relationship rekindles hope. The ultimate disappointment leads her to embrace her vampire condition, and the loneliness it condemns her to.


Mawtini (CH, 2023, 13’)

Synopsis : When war breaks out in Baghdad in the early 90s, Siham and Rakan, a young couple, decide to fight killer robots to escape the city and protect the future of their newborn baby. In this animated film, the director takes viewers into a new, futuristic universe in the heart of the Middle East.


Gardien (CH, 2023, 28’)
Director : Varvara Mashanskaya

Synopsis : Tatum, a young man suffering from severe depression, is hired as a museum guard. He is given the task of guarding a strange sculpture, which at first holds no interest for Tatum. Through a few surreal encounters with museum visitors, he develops a curiosity about the statue, which suddenly begins to communicate with him. Tatum protects this miracle by going beyond the limits of his job. His superior makes it clear that he is not qualified to make decisions about the statue. Because of this restriction, Tatum can no longer protect it - and the object is destroyed by one of the visitors. Tatum, transformed by this experience, nevertheless manages to keep the magic inside himself.

Synopsis : Sophie travels to Valparaiso, Chile, to meet her family. This new environment and impending meeting plunges her into an introspective state that will bring to the surface long-buried feelings.
In search of herself, pursued by a Condor, imprisoned by stories, Sophie must understand where she comes from, to accept who she is.


Shinings (CH, 2023, 24’)
Director : Lazar Ivanov

Synopsis : Siyana and a group of soldiers celebrate, long for and dream about their last moments together before the war. The film presents the collective experience of the characters, blending their emotional dynamics and presence in this state of transition and impermanence.


From Where It Comes (CH, 2023, 26’)

Synopsis : Under the clouds of a night of uncertain contours, a city meditates on long-distance love, a car moves forward. In the clouds of distance, several loves have taken on the uncertain contours of night.


Jusqu’à la fin (CH, 2023, 22’) (Until the end)

Synopsis : Rayane is a young man from the Palettes district of Geneva. A black-market delivery boy, he carries out one fraudulent mission after another to raise enough money to pay for his ailing father’s operation. After a mission goes wrong, Rayane returns home, money in hand, and comes back to reality: his father has in fact been dead for two months.
