The film A la recherche d’Aline by Rokhaya Marieme Balde (BA cinema alumna HEAD) is nominated for the best graduation film at the Swiss Film Prize 2022. Several films by alumni of the HEAD Cinema Department are also nominated in different categories. The nominees for the Swiss Film Prize 2022 were chosen during the Night of Nominations at the 57th Solothurn Film Festival. The Swiss Film Prize will be awarded on Friday, March 25, 2022 in Zurich.

Ninety-six films in 13 categories were entered for the Swiss Film Prize. The 476 members of the Swiss Film Academy examined and judged each of the works submitted. The results of this anonymous consultation serve as a recommendation for the nomination committee.

The Federal Department of Home Affairs appoints a five-member commission from among the members of the Swiss Film Academy to select the nominees based on the recommendations of the 476 Academy members. Chaired by Ivo Kummer, head of the FOC’s Film Section, the nomination commission is composed of the following personalities: Joël Jent, screenwriter, Zurich; Irene Anna Genhart, film journalist, Zurich; Niccolò Castelli, director, Lugano; Christelle Michel, producer, Lausanne.

During the week of the award ceremony from March 21 to 27, 2022, the films of the nominees will be presented in theaters of the Grütli in Geneva and the Filmpodium in Zurich.
