For one week, students from the Cinema and Interior Design Department had the opportunity to work with French set designer Florian Sanson on the conceptualization of a set for the shooting of a scene.

Florian Sanson proposed to the students to build a real movie set for the shooting of five moments of the night, from dusk to dawn, artificially recreated in a space. The participants were asked to think about the size of the props for the shoot and to set up a unique lighting system in order to create several nocturnal atmospheres.

Florian Sanson is a French set designer, he has worked on many feature films including Black Venus by Abdellatif Kechiche, The Big Bath by Gilles Lellouche or Proxima by Alice Winocour. In 2013, he was the production designer of the film Holy Motors by Leos Carax which earned him a César nomination. This year, Florian Sanson was nominated for the César for best set design for the film Annette by Leos Carax.

This workshop was organized within the framework of the week of all possibilities and made possible thanks to the research project Scènes de nuit.
