Kenza Barrah

Kenza Barrah began casting in 2015, specializing in wild casting. She has worked with Jan Kounen, Maïté Sonnet, Maïmouna Doucouré, Onur Tukel, William Laboury, Atsushi Wada, Félix de Givry and Valentin Noujaïm, among others. In 2021, Kenza Barrah met Nawell Madani and was cast in the Netflix series, Jusqu’ici tout va bien, produced by Elephant Story and Black Barbie, broadcast in 2023. She has taken part as a speaker in several Masterclasses Cinéma, notably alongside Frédéric Farrucci (César winner in 2021 for La Nuit venue). In 2022, two of the films for which she cast were presented at Cannes and competed for the Queer Palm: Des jeunes filles enterrent leur vie by Maïté Sonnet (Quartett Production) at the Directors’ Fortnight, Swann dans le centre by Iris Chassaigne (La Luna Productions) at Critics’ Week. She continues to direct casting for feature films and series. Since 2023, she has been directing music videos, including Pussy by Uzi Freyja (Warrior Records / Barberousse Films).
