Iris Brey

After studying ancient Greek and cinema in the United States, Iris Brey became interested in gender studies and submitted a thesis on the representation of raging mothers in French cinema. Today she is a columnist for Les Inrockuptibles and a critic for France Culture. She is a specialist in the representation of gender and sexuality in cinema and television series, and regularly denounces the place given to women in the seventh art form, both within institutions and in the images themselves.
