Elene Naveriani

Born in 1985 in Tbilisi (Georgia). Elene Naveriani studied painting at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. In 2011, she received a Master’s degree in Cybermedia Curatorial Criticism, and in 2014 a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema from HEAD - Geneva (Geneva School of Art and Design). First feature I am Truly a Drop of Sun on Earth (2017) premiered at IFFR and won awards at Entrevues Belfort and Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid. The short Red Ants bite (2019) premiered at IFFR. Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry (2023) had its world premiere at the Directors’ Fortnight Cannes 2023 and won numerous festival awards. In 2024, Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry (2023) won Best Swiss Film, Best Screenplay and Best Editing at the Swiss Film Awards 2024.
