Claire Atherton

Attracted by Taoist philosophy, Claire Atherton quickly turned to Chinese language and civilization studies before turning to film. In 1986, she edited Chantal Akerman’s Letters Home, which marked the beginning of a 30-year collaboration on the films and installations of the filmmaker. Claire Atherton also works with many directors and artists from different backgrounds. In 2019, the Locarno Film Festival awarded her the Vision Award Ticinomoda for her entire career.
