Carlos Reygadas

Carlos Reygadas began by studying law and working as a lawyer before devoting himself to directing. His formally demanding films bear witness to the influence of Tarkovski and Dreyer in particular. Also a producer, in 2012 he participated in the collective exhibition Resisting the Present. Mexico 2000/2012 at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris on the young Mexican artist scene. In 2018, his film Nuestro Tiempo was selected for the Venice Film Festival.
