Director

Andreas Fontana

Born in Geneva, Andreas moved to Buenos Aires to work as a translator and interpreter after studying comparative literature. Back in Switzerland, he graduated from the HEAD/ECAL Master in Directing in 2010. His first short film Cotonov Vanished (2009) was awarded at the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon and his second film Pedro M, 1981 (2015) was nominated for the Swiss Film Prize in the category “Best Short Film”. His first feature film Azor (2021), was presented at the 71st Berlinale, in the “Encounters” Section.
