Amandine Gay

French director, actress, sociologist and Afrofeminist, Amandine Gay graduated from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Lyon in communication. She dedicated her thesis to the issues of the treatment of the colonial question in French society. In 2014, she directed a report on the #ContreExhibitB protests and a feature documentary Ouvrir la voix, which offers a voice to black women in France. Her latest documentary Une histoire à soi tells the life stories of five people born abroad and adopted by French families.
