Alessandro Passerini

Alessandro Passerini is a sound designer, composer, artistic director and sound artist from Ticino. After several years at PHD Studio in Crissier, where he was in charge of various audiovisual and film projects, he began his independent career in the fields of audiovisual production and artistic direction.

He has contributed to film projects such as I Asked the Factory by Noa Epars and Louis Lamarche, and composed the music for Acciaio by Valentina Parati. In 2023, Alessandro Passerini also worked as composer and sound designer on Helmet by Antoine Scalese and Valentina Parati, as well as on La merveilleuse douleur du genêt by Olivia Calcaterra.

He has also worked on art installations, including the exhibition 7 Architectures Automatiques at the Venice Biennale and the DAAR installation at the Museum of Civilisations in Rome.

Since 2022, he has been the artistic director and curator of the Ticino-based MAAT Festival. His multidisciplinary background enables him to approach sound creation with an original and cross-disciplinary perspective.
