It really took a close-knit team to paint a portrait of these shepherds who are a little rebellious about the arrival of these people from the lowlands on the high plateau of the mountains. The film is a careful, amusing and slightly disillusioned chronicle of meetings that were nonetheless experienced, at night by firelight.

Grand journey to Lesotho. The students had planned to spend one month in this enclave country surrounded by South Africa. They start out from the village of Morija, a one-hour drive from the capital Maseru, whose picturesque scenes they wanted to get away from so as to meet people, devise fertile encounters with them and tell some true stories. Some films were made in collaboration with young Lesothans, who had come together at the HUB, the village’s audiovisual training centre. This filmmaking Workshop was moderated by Teboho Edkins, a South African filmmaker, and Tizian Büchi, a Swiss filmmaker and assistant in the Film Department. During the final week, Don Edkins, a South African producer and film director, and Jean Perret took part for the editing of the films on the spot.
