It’s as if the depth of the night was burning with an immemorial fire, the thickness of which could only be pierced by scattered fragments, dispersed embers. These fragile glows linger in the darkness. Then some more complex motifs are sketched, with taut lines following the arabesques. Some human figures emerge in the image. Here one can barely make out a broad-striped shirt. One has to listen to the insects and the wind, those voices that have eroded the ridge of the mountain. A woman perhaps, whose diaphanous white clothes are flapping in the air, is walking towards the open landscape. The dawn of the world? It’s in the memory of the images that one needs to search for the evanescent traces of ghosts that rub shoulders with the living.
