Adrien Kuenzy

A graduate of the HEAD/Haute école d’art et de design de Genève and the ECAL/Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne (Master of Arts in Cinema - 2012), the Swiss-Norwegian Adrien Kuenzy completes his education with a degree at the University of Lausanne (Master of Arts in History and Aesthetics of Cinema - 2017), as well as a diploma in journalism in 2021. He has directed several short and medium-length films including L’ami, selected in many international festivals (Locarno, Solothurn, Zurich, São Paulo, Amsterdam, Karlsruhe) and bought by Arte France. In 2016, Adrien Kuenzy became the personal assistant of director Serge Bozon, in Paris, on his feature film Madame Hyde, with Isabelle Huppert, José Garcia and Romain Duris in the title roles. Since his selection for the Critics Academy at the Locarno Film Festival in 2017, Adrien Kuenzy has been a film critic and cultural journalist for various media including 24 heures, Le Courrier and La Tribune de Genève. He now works for the Geneva-based news agency Large Network while co-editing with Sabrina Schwob Ciné-Feuilles, a bi-monthly film magazine founded in Lausanne in 1981.
